 Term 2 2017 -School Highlights at Bailey Road School.

 

   

We began Term 2 with new BRS branded staffroom   The Karaka (Yr 3-4) Team had a sleep over studying     furniture (Teal / Jade / Dark Blue)                                             the Solar System -'Out of this World.'

 

    

 This term we began the Boy's Reading Club.           Miss Gooch ran a lunch time Art Club too.

 

    

Our special visitors at the Closing Ceremony of           Our Pasifika Group entertains at Child's Time Penrose

 Samoan Language Week-Councillor Josephine Bartley,

Aleni Tufuga, TJ Taotua with Albert, Vesna, Demi and  Ioane.

 

      

 The Whare Ahuru Mowai remains a key learning               Our Term 2 Community Information Evening  on       area at Bailey Road School and for fun times at interval time.   Mathematics.

   

Our Senior Vocal Group Performs in the                       The Kapa haka Group helps Little Moa's Early

                                                Our Social Worker in Schools-Delize Roos organised a Whanau Breakfast to complete the term.

 Our Senior Adventure Playground was closed to bring it up to Health and Safety Standards at the end of term 2 and the Board of Trustees are organising repair.

This term we also farewelled our Rata Team leader Melanie Wiersma who has moved to Brookby School to teach a Year 7-8 class. We wish her well.

Laurie O'Connor takes over from Mel and commences our third New Entrant Classroom in Room 7. 

Leah Arcilla will teach Mel's room 5 Year 1-2 Students until the end of the year.
